BMX (an acronym for Bicycle Moto Cross) is an acrobatic form of cycling whose origin is in California in 1970. It is an Olympic sport since the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. BMX originated in California in the early 70′s, when young people tried to emulate the champions of motocross bikes. In the 1980 version became generally known as a race, or road racing ground, very similar to those made with motorcycles. Later, in the mid 80′s, with the first exclusive freestyle bike would begin to do tricks in skateparks or on the street, consolidating what is now known as BMX.
